After Brett realizes he knows who the killer is, he rushes to the police department to tell his uncle (who is the town sheriff, of course.) Brett tells him that the killer is Zay. Brett knows because Zay is the only person in the town under 4'9 and the killer was described as being "unrealistically short." Alyssa, Erica and Chrissy print out wanted posters with ugly photos of Zay and have the varsity Water Polo team put up thousands across town.

Zay is found hiding in his mothers basement. The police take him into custody and question him. Much to everyones suprise, the police didn't have enough evidence to convict Zay. Which means the killer must still be out there. The citizens of their small town are now all on gaurd for who could die next.

Despite Brett having falsely accused Zay of multiple murders, nobody seemes to be mad at Brett. In small town america, the high school Quarterback can do no wrong in the towns eyes, and everyone continues to love Brett. All the while Zay must go back to living his sad pathetic old life.

Eddie is in the robotics lab trying to build himself a girlfriend when he is attacked by the killer. Furthur proving that Zay isnt the killer. Brett is forced to stop trying to find the killer because he must focus on his failing relationship with Erica.

All the popular kids families decide to go on vacation together for spring break, because that something rich people do. While they're all off vacationing in Bora Bora and doing Rich, Hot people stuff, Ericas mother is killed. This means the killer has to be one of them.

Erica is having a hard time dealing with her Mothers death, Erica and her Mother were very close. Brett tries to comfort Erica but to no avail. Meanwhile, the French Polynesian and United States authories work together to try to find the killer.

Everyone is back from spring break and they hold a funeral for Erica's father. The killer is now making international news. Zay has run away from home, making him look suspicious. But its later proven that he ran away after Erica's father was killed.

Erica's comes from a very prominent family in the community and her father is very successful. The town police are under a lot of pressure to find the killer because the town is protesting. The FBI takes over the cases. Meanwhile Zay is staying in an abandoned cabin because he decided there is nothing left for him in his town, because his life sucks there.

Zay's parents report him missing to the police department, the police start working on finding him right away because they are no longer busy with the killer. They send out search teams for him.

Brett and Chrissy connect the dots and realise the killer has to be Chrissy's mom. Chrissy already knows her mom is capeable of murder and had an affair with Erica's father. Chrissy and Brett know that Chrissy's mom must have killed Erica's mom so she could have Erica's father.
