iUgly is an American satirical comedy television series created by Jessica Lindholm and Jerome Cage. The show premiered on July 11, 2021, on L&C Plus and follows a furry, unlucky aspiring influencer named Jerome who moves to Las Vegas to chase fame — only to end up posting awful makeup tutorials and working at an escort service.

The show parodies influencer culture, internet fame, and delusion through absurdist humor. Jerome, played by co-creator Jerome Cage, is surrounded by an offbeat cast including Rebecca (his best friend at work), Whoregan (his furry girlfriend), Rodger (his scummy roommate), and Cheryl (his chaotic neighbor).

Cast & Characters:

- Jerome Cage as Jerome, a talentless furry with big dreams and no skills.
- Lana Del Rey as Rebecca, his cynical furry escort coworker.
- Kim Petras as Whoregan, his intense and weird furry girlfriend.
- Baylen Lavine as Rodger, the world's worst roommate.
- Jennifer Coolidge as Cheryl, Jeromes extremely nosey neighbor.

Production:

Seasons 1–4 were filmed at L&C Plus Studios in the Netherlands with outdoor sequences in Seattle and Las Vegas. Seasons 5 and 6 were shot at the new L&C Plus Studios in Las Vegas, with additional scenes in Los Angeles. Episode budgets increased each season, starting at $3 million and reaching $15 million by Season 5.

Reception:

iUgly has been one of the streamer’s most popular series and is considered a flagship show. It won the 2024 L&C Plus Award for Best Written Series, and Jerome Cage earned Best Lead Actor at the same event.

Controversy:

In Spring 2024, the production was disrupted by the “JoJo Siwa Massacre” during filming of Season 6. Siwa, appearing as herself, escaped from her cage, attacking multiple crew members on the Las Vegas lot. Several deaths and injuries were reported before she was subdued, causing widespread media coverage and internal review.

All six seasons of iUgly are available to stream exclusively on L&C Plus.
