Fans of the hit L&C Plus original series "iUgly" have been wondering how they were able to place a picture of actor Jerome Cage's ass on the MSG Sphere in Las Vegas.
During the opening scene of iUgly's fifth season. The lead character Jerome is seen being forced out of his Las Vegas apartment by the city's residents. When Jerome escapes into his Jojo Siwa themed bugatti and drives off, he does one last thing to piss off the residents of Las Vegas. He bluetooth connects his phone to the MSG Sphere (Located one block from his apartment complex) and screencasts an image of his middle finger between his ass cheecks to "flip off" all of Las Vegas.
While L&C Plus is no stranger to displaying advertisements on the MSG Sphere, they were not allowed to actually display a picture of Jerome Cage's ass on the landmark in real life. This is because the action would violate multiple obscenity laws, even in Nevada. So L&C Plus ultimately had to opt out of shooting the scene practically.
Ok so then how did L&C Plus actually get it to look like Jerome Cage's ass was on the MSG Sphere? L&C Plus Productions had to set up cameras on massive robotic cranes programmed to perform precise movements. Then they captured LiDAR scans of the MSG Sphere itself. Then in post production, the scan of the MSG Sphere was digitally coposited onto the footage using the programmed camera sequences.
