L&C Plus, the streaming giant, has hit a surprising jackpot with its unconventional film, "Pissboy and Turdgirl." Despite its niche genre, the movie has quickly become a sensation, garnering over a hundred million views within weeks of its release and showing no signs of slowing down. Even more astonishing, its limited theatrical run in just four theaters worldwide raked in $212 thousand, making it the highest-grossing film in the piss and shit genre.
Critics have raised eyebrows at the notion of $212 thousand being a triumph, particularly given the movie's hefty budget. However, L&C Plus Entertainment's Chief Financial Officer has defended the film saying, “Anyone criticizing this movie is a stupid fucking idiot, and just a turdphobic asshole. That being said, when you consider the fact that the movie was available to stream online for free the same day it became public in theaters, it’s actually wildly impressive.”
It’s undeniable that "Pissboy and Turdgirl" has struck a chord with audiences. The streamer has wasted no time in announcing a sequel, boasting an even larger budget and a star-studded cast. Originally budgeted at $40 million, the first film's costs ballooned to $80 million due to creative additions and pricey visual effects. Now, with the sequel on the horizon, L&C Plus is doubling down with a $160 million budget.
The budget surge is justified by two key factors. Firstly, lead actors Bella Ramsey and Jacob Tremblay reportedly worked on the first film without compensation due to being kidnapped and forced to work by L&C Plus, a trend expected to continue into the sequel. However, new additions to the cast, including Harry Sisson, Amber Heard and Turkish Quandale Dingle, come with hefty price tags, courtesy of multi-million dollar deals brokered by the studio. Notably, Dingle's involvement is part of a $100 million deal L&C Plus Entertainment signed with members of the TikTok Rizz Party, and Heard's $20 million deal for the movie.
As L&C Plus gears up for the next installment, "Pissboy and Turdgirl" stands as a testament to the unpredictability of cinematic success and the evolving landscape of entertainment consumption. Whether it's the allure of unconventional storytelling or the power of viral marketing, one thing is certain: this unlikely hit has left its mark on the industry.
